Ski backbone track in Giant Mountains

Giant Mountains have a very dense net of tracks for cross-country skiing (more than 550 km of tracks which are well cared for). The 90km long backbone track of Giant Mountains can be divided in several parts.

The red marked path starts in Harrachov and leads though Ručičky, Krakonošova snídaně, Vosecká bouda, Zlaté návrší and Horní Mísečky to Špindlerův Mlýn. This track is not suitable for people who are not so physically fit and for families with children. To these people we recommend to use the well cared tracks near ski resorts.

The trunk track continues From Špindlerův Mlýn to Kopřivník, along Klínové boudy and Dvorské boudy to Liščí hora, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Sněžka Mountain. Then we can continue to Tetřeví boudy, along Hrnčířské boudy, Lučiny and Javorské boudy to Pec pod Sněžkou.

Next kilometers continue from Pec pod Sněžkou along Zadní, Střední and Přední Výsluní at Velká Úpa to Spálený Mlýn, village Malá Úpa, Horní Albeřice, to Rýchorská bouda and to Horní Maršov. From Rýchory, it is possible to ski down to Žacléř, where this ski-track ends.

The backbone track is marked red, racing tracks are blue and tourist tracks green.
