Van Helsing
After the large-budget films The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, director and scriptwriter Stephen Sommers made another very successful film. Van Helsing is one of the most expensive American movies filmed in the Czech Republic. Bohemian Paradise (the Lahole area) appeared in scenes when vampires attack the eight-horse team.

The Brothers Grimm
The filming of this adventurous story started in Prague in June 2003. Bohemian Paradise was featured in scenes shot near Kost Castle (the general’s castle), Plakánek Valley, near the Podsemínský mlýn Mill and in Žehrov. The film was directed by the renowned Terry Gilliam (Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) and the screenplay was written by Ehren Kruger (The Ring).
